JA accepting nominations for Man, Woman of Year

Junior Auxiliary of Hammond will host its 33rd annual Children’s Benefit on March 21 at Twelve Oaks in Hammond.
During the benefit, the nonprofit organization will honor two outstanding members of the community as Man and Woman of the Year.
The Junior Auxiliary is looking for individuals who volunteer their time and energy to make the community a better place to live.
JA will be accepting nominations for Man and Woman of Year through Dec. 31.

Following are guidelines for preparing nominations:
The nominee must have accomplished an outstanding humanitarian and/or civic deed or deeds for the benefit of the Hammond community and/or individuals.
The nominee must not have received monetary compensation for said work or have done it in the regular line of duty.
The Junior Auxiliary of Hammond Man and Woman of the Year Award is a service award for an outstanding individual.
Organizations are not eligible.
Individuals or organizations may submit names with qualifications.
Each individual or club may submit more than one nomination. Nominations on the same name are encouraged annually.
Judging will be based solely on the information submitted when nominating an individual. Therefore, give details of the individual’s contributions as completely and accurately as possible. State all other qualifications. Entries of more than 1,000 words will not be considered.
